Women in Retail on BBC 4

10 May 2017

Last week, Mary spoke to Jane Garvey at BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour about all things British high street and the impact it's all having on the women that dominate the sector. From the 21 000 retail jobs put at risk to the countless household name brands going into administration and closing stores across the country, to what this really means for women as consumers, as employees and as entrepreneurs, Mary discusses it all alongside a host of diverse and hugely successful women in the retail world.

You can tune into the whole conversation below which also features Catherine Shuttleworth (retail marketing consultant and founder of Savvy Marketing), Carol Kane (co-CEO of online fashion retailer boohoo.com), Angela Spindler (CEO of online retailer N Brown, and previously Managing Director of Debenhams and George at Asda), Kim Winser (CEO of Winser London, and previously the first female Director of Marks & Spencer, CEO of Pringle and Aquascutum, and advisor to Net A Porter), Simmone Haywood (Head of Talent at Marks & Spencer) and Kate Hardcastle (independent retail analyst and founder of Insight With Passion).
